Thanos Post Snap 

The Demise of Thanos

In this post we will be looking at what happened to the Avengers as well as Thanos after the Mad Titan successfully achieved his goal when he snapped his fingers and effectively ended half of all life in the universe.  After Thanos snaps his fingers, he teleports away using a heavily damaged infinity gauntlet. We then later find out from Nebula that the planet he teleported to was called the "Farm". Hanging up his armor(see image below), he meant to live out the remainder of his life there peacefully, farming crops and living off the land. 

Nebula was also able to help the Avengers pinpoint the location of the "Farm" where they hoped to use the Infinity Stones to snap everyone they lost back.  However, upon arriving they found out that Thanos saw no purpose to keep the Stones around any longer and believed that they were a temptation so he decided to  destroy them using their own power. After realizing that all is lost, Thor then  decapitated Thanos using Stormbreaker .

Time Travel

What happened to the Avengers? 

5 years have passed since Thanos' death and the Snap. The Avengers have each found themselves in a very different place in life. Captain America and Black Widow are the only remaining active members who still go the Avengers compound. They monitor earthly problems and coordinate with Rocket Raccoon, Captain Marvel, Okoye of Wakanda as well as War Machine and make sure that these issues are discreetly dealt with. Iron man has started a family with Pepper Potts and they now have a young daughter, Morgan. Thor, burdened by the guilt of losing his mother, father, brother, best friend, eye as well as half of his people and most importantly, failing to save half of the universe since he did not aim his axe at Thanos' head, has fallen into depression(see image below) and as a result of this, fell out of shape and has become an obsessive alcoholic who spends all of his time drinking and playing video games. 

Bringing Everyone Back

At that point, it seemed that all was lost and that this how things are going to be. However, this all was changed when AntMan came forth with the revelation from his own personal experience that since time works very differently in the quantum realm , it could somehow be used in order to travel back in time and reverse the damage that has been done. A first hesitant Iron Man eventually agrees to help the Team and successfully developed a Time Travel Machine. 

The next step was simple yet complicated. It was simple in a sense that each member of the team had to travel back in time in order to retrieve one of the stones. It was complicated in the fact that they had only enough energy to make one round trip each so they had to make sure that they retrieved the stones. In addition, they had to ensure that they would travel back in time to put back the stone in order to avoid creating any nasty alternate timelines and realities.

The team managed to successfully acquire all of the Stones. However, this good news came at the cost of one member, Black Widow, who gave up her life in order to get the Soul Stone. Hulk then managed to Snap his fingers using a new Nano Gauntlet made by himself and Iron Man. However, the Snap severely damaged his right hand. Along with the chaos of making sure hulk was ok as well as checking if the snap actually worked, Thanos ambushes the group. Thanos was able to come back since the 2014 Nebula Impersonated the 2023 one and brought the 2014 Thanos to 2023. 

Final Battle

After the Avengers compound was destroyed, the Big 3 Avengers, Iron Man, Thor and Captain America have a showdown with Thanos in which they are overpowered by the Big Titan. There comes a point where it seems that all is lost when Captain America hears Sam(Falcon) in his intercom and many portals open, revealing the return of all the snapped Avengers which include: Spiderman, Doctor Strange, Groot, Winter Soldier, Starlord, Mantis , Drax, Scarlett Witch and Black Panther and many more.

Seeing the presence of Thanos as an imminent threat, the Avengers and Thanos kept  wrestling for the possession of the Gauntlet. With Thanos wanting to finish what he had started and the Avengers trying to go back in time and return all the stones to their original timelines. After realizing that there is only one way to beat Thanos, Iron Man uses sleight of hand to transfer the stones to his nano suit and snap Thanos and his army out of existence. The energy of the snap proves too much for Iron Man to handle and kills him.
